Wellington Drive Technologies is a high-tech manufacturing company with a global footprint. We manufacture connected subsystems for commercial refrigeration that provide configurable, energy-saving thermostatic control, and asset-tracking and performance analysis, via integrated cloud analytics.

Our equipment monitoring and proximity marketing solutions are used by major food and beverage brands worldwide. Wellington has offices in 10 countries and conducts R&D from its headquarters in Auckland, New Zealand, for its family of hardware and software products.

As the world moves ever faster to the delivery of reliable digital services and experiences, Wellington's business is further evolving to support the changing needs and priorities of our broadening customer base.

We are now looking for a Project Manager, ideally with product development experience, to plan and execute projects. The PM is expected to lead and own the projects assigned to them. This role is for a junior or an intermediate level PM.


To be considered for the role you need:


  • 3 years of working in cross functional (Software, firmware, electronics, mechanical etc) projects.
  • Essential: BE/BSc in engineering.
  • Project certification or experience in using Scrum or Agile methodologies will be an advantage.
  • A understanding of how electronic products are developed and how they integrate with software systems.
  • Attention to detail and strong procedural orientation combined with the ability to maintain a strategic overview.
  • High level ability to communicate clearly and concisely, verbally and in writing.
  • A desire to learn and grow as project manager in an Agile development environment.
  • Ability to learn, grow and improve together, through new methods of thinking to thrive for results for our customers.


Highly desired:

  • Scrum experience or certification
  • Experience with collaboration tools like Confluence, JIRA and project planners.
  • Experience in electronic, mechanical, firmware and/or software development projects and release management processes.
  • Electronics manufacturing at scale.
  • Experience in design of products for volume manufacturing in offshore facilities
